Here is some feedback regarding the info on this site. The names (and places) have been altered to protect the innocent and edited for clarity and brevity.
I won't put the trash responses here about not giving out some information, or telling you kids where you can get firecrackers and bottle rockets, or not spending every waking minute glued to my screen so every link and every word is 100% up to date, so keep it to yourselves!
Dear Charley,
I really enjoy your page. Has lots of information that is very useful to me.
I am just starting out in the fireworks business and I could use a little guidance. I would like the names and phone numbers of companies and suppliers I can buy display fireworks and mortars and the like from. I see Precocious listed, but the site has no address or phone number on it. [It has my contact info to reduce the traffic. I refer any Internet queries on as needed]
I am taking my Pyrotechnicians test on 3/7 and I will be filing my application with ATF shortly after that, so everything I purchase will be legal of course.
I am going to specialize in small shows for birthdays, anniversaries and weddings. Of course the annual 4th of July show is a must. I will not be buying a lot of material at first, but hopefully the business will take off quickly.
Any help and guidance in this would be greatly appreciated.
My name, address and phone numbers are below:
Sincerely yours,

Dear Charles P. Weeth,
I am writing to thank you a million times over for the excellent web site you maintain at http://host.ld.centuryinter.net/chzweeth/index.html.
Not only did your site contain exceptionally useful information regarding fireworks and the entire pyrotechnics industries, but it was easily navigable and well laid out.
I have since initiated an email dialog with Jack Drewes, and written away for Bill Ofca's publication: PURCHASING POWER FOR DISPLAY FIREWORKS (A Complete Guide to Event Planning)
As an entertainment producer, I appreciate how your schedule is busy and I have no wish to burden you with any simplistic questions. After I have examined all the information coming to me, I might be sufficiently knowledgeable to ask you a worthy question.
Again, thanks for all your work on sharing knowledge and information, and I look forward to producing a world-class fireworks display on ***** next year.
Best Wishes,

Thanks again for the info. I downloaded a couple of articles from your web page about destructive testing of HDPE mortars. It was quite informative!
I have info about the PGI from their web page. I thought about attending convention since it isn't far away from me this year. Thanks for the positive info about it [the Convention]. I will get my PGI membership money sent within the month and check with Amana about lodging. (I have to save back enough money to pay for the mortars!!!)
Hope to see you at the convention.

Charley-
For many years I have always wondered how display fireworks work. After seeing a couple of good shows here in Dallas on the 4th I decided to type "fireworks" in the Infoseek box and your page came up near the top.
I must say I have learned a great deal from your efforts and salute (no pun intended) you on this fine information resource! I will now be able to answer at least some of my children's questions!
At one show this year we were "lucky" enough to be quite close to the fallout area and the kids had a grand time picking up the debris. On close examination one can start to get some idea of how these shells are made but the information on your site really put the pieces together. I always thought there was a separate propellant (lifting) charge-- rather than the propellant built into the aerial shell. The information on colors was also factual, authoritative and concise.
Two questions or comments:
(1) You frequently refer to a term called "match." Sometimes crossmatch, passmatch, etc. but there is no definition for "match" in your glossary. I assume it is another word for fuse?
(2) I realize it is difficult to talk about money, but one question I hear many times in the viewing gallery is "I wonder how much this show cost?" Perhaps you might quote some ballpark figures when you next
update your show page. Thanks so much for enlighting me with your knowledge!
